Rated 1.0 I am writing to explain an unfortunate situation that occurred at the San Carlos branch of the CVS Pharmacy on September 17, 2017 on El Camino Real. The morning before, I had gone to my local ER with chest pains and high blood pressure of over 220. The ER doctor gave me a prescription for 20, 30-mg of oxycodone. When I went to the San Carlos CVS branch to have the prescription filled, the Pharmacist, Ana Leung, was extremely rude and made me feel embarrassed. She told me that I was a day early for the refill, and the next time that this happened, she would not provide me any medication. She made inappropriate and insulting comments, repeating them so all around us could hear. She told me I was taking too many of this medication, an observation unfitting for a Pharmacist. In addition, I was given two prescriptions, one for 25 mg of Cozaar, and one for 50 mg of the same mediation. My doctor did this because my blood pressure is erratic. I told Ms. Leung that I wanted the lesser amount now and to keep the other on file. She refilled the higher dose, throwing the bag on the counter, telling me I needed to take the higher does. Again, this is not the purview of the pharmacist. Ms. Leung was the rudest and most unprofessional person I had ever encountered at CVS. Even though my new medication provider requires that I fill my prescriptions at Walgreen’s, I have always gone to CVS because of the fine service I have been provided. However, from now on, I will not be a patron of CVS in San Carlos any longer.
