Rated 4.0 I am a regular Fresh Market customer. I see no need for the FM to be open on Thanksgiving day when right across the street is a 24 hr. Ingles. It seems very unfair to your staff to be open on Turkey Day!

Rated 5.0 Last night I visited the Parham Road Fresh Market near my home in Richmond, Virginia. At the time, a very nice lady named Ellen went to the back to see if she could find any more salads because there was a limited selection left in the case. She did her best, but there were just not any more back there. A young man named Jerico was working in the deli and overheard our conversation. He volunteered to go in the back and make me whatever kind of salad I wanted. As it turns out, he made me the very freshest and best Caesar salad that I have ever had. I reported the very helpful and professional actions of both Ellen and Jerico to their sales manager as I was leaving. The Parham Road location is always a clean and friendly store every time I visit there.

Rated 1.0 I was in your Parham Road store on October 23. The meat cutter came forward with chicken rolls up and began placing them in the case all without gloves on. He sort of tossed them in. Then he went over to the chicken parts area, picked up a chicken thigh, tossed in back and picked up another one, all without any gloves. Several customers saw this and they young man behind the counter said he would all the manager. A woman came forward to the area behind the counter, spoke briefly to the young man at the counter and left. She never said one word to the three or four customers who witnessed the incident. Do you even realize how competitive the Richmond grocery market has become? In addition to Aldi and Lidl, we now have Publix and Wegmans and they are going to knock you out of the market with your poor level of service. I am no longer a Fresh Market customer!

Rated 3.0 This is what we heard about the Fresh Market: the neighborhood first strongly objected to their new building which was thought to dominate others in this section of historic Germantown and take away customers from the local farmer's market and the Weaver's Way co-op located in basically the same block...The result was a pleasant surprise: the scale of the building is just right for this neighborhood and fits well with it's surrounds... Especially thoughtful is the driveway in and out of the supermarket -- no expected traffic jams and brilliantly solved parking space which everyone thought would be a big problem... Red brick construction with dark green trim -- would have preferred gray tones for trim -- works well with similar buildings across the street... A deeper set-back from the street would have been nice as in their internet sketch but there is still place for the outdoor seating... Landscaping is nice... The interior is just the right size and perfect for the urban style village which is Chestnut Hill... Unfortunately the supermarket does not own but simply rents the space from the builder... Salespeople look as if they never shop there and it is too pricey even for the patrons which are few in-between and usually get the same items readily available in other locations in the same block... Classical music is played throughout the store -- adds a nice touch -- and the interior is very aesthetic, together with it's various displays... There is a concern as to what happens with prime expensive meats -- unsold ones are likely placed in marinades or rubbed in spices which is a pity since it's original freshness is undisputed...Fish counter is sub-par and too expensive to expand... Not enough high income clientele for this type of store... The ground floor retail space remains vacant for more than a year now and no prospects yet... The building type, though, would do well in any urban environment thinking of adding a manageable upscale grocery store...The supermarket size is just right as it eschews selling non-food items as it should... Ready made foods are too expensive and do not get enough traffic from nearby businesses and offices... Pleasant surprise from the builder for this neighborhood... Patrons worry about the grocer's ability to remain in the neighborhood without enough customers' traffic.... Compared with Trader's Joe -- there were long lines to the cashier, cheaper prices for imported foods last time we visited. We will let you know about more comments as we would be receiving them. Hopefully, this was helpful.... Would have preferred if the survey allow these to be send directly to the manager.

Rated 5.0 I shopped tonight in Nags Head, NC store. Morgan checked me out with great politeness. She asked did I find everything I needed and how was my day. She packed the bags with care, great employee.

Rated 5.0 Been going to the Providence road store since it opened. Dealing with great staff like Howard in the meat department and Stephen, my cashier, it always makes the trip a pleasure.
